Manual Pool Cover Rollers

Wind it on and off by hand. Nothing to charge, nothing to service. Free-standing, so it doesn't bolt to your paving — add castors and it wheels clear when you want the space back.

Electro-polished stainless steel with a telescopic tube, so nothing needs cutting to length.

One-button operation — press the remote and the cover rolls on or off.

No physical effort — the right choice where lifting, bending or winding is a problem.

Never stuck — a manual override crank is included, so a flat battery is an inconvenience, not a dead end.

Handles heavier covers — thermal and heavier solar covers roll as easily as light ones.

Battery Pool Cover Rollers

Press the remote and the cover rolls on or off on its own — no pulling, no bending, no cord across the paving. Worth asking about if anyone in the house would struggle to wind a cover by hand, or your cover is a heavier thermal blanket.

Six lengths from 2.5m to 6.0m, sized to pools up to 5.8m wide

Not held in stock. Brought in to order and priced by enquiry

Warranty: 5 years pro rata

Nothing on show — the roller sits concealed inside the bench when it isn't in use.

Gains you seating — poolside seating in the space a roller would have taken.

Built for outside — weather-resistant aluminium bench top with HDPE ends.

Adjustable height — 470mm seat height, adjustable up to +150mm to suit your paving.

Bench Seat Pool Rollers

The roller sits hidden inside a modular poolside bench. Nothing on show, and you gain seating where a roller frame would otherwise have sat. The answer for anyone who has ruled out a roller because of how one looks beside a landscaped pool.

Connecting The Cover To The Roller

Every Ultimate cover comes with edge binding, haul cord, and the cords and eyelets to attach it to the roller. Nothing further to buy.

A Classic cover is the sheet on its own — no binding, no cords, no eyelets. If you're ordering a Classic cover with a roller, add a cord and eyelet kit so the two work together.

Thermal covers are 3mm and Ultimate only, so the fittings are always included.

  • Yes — and a pool blanket roller is the same thing again. Reel, roller and blanket roller all mean the frame and tube the cover winds onto. "Pool blanket" is what most New Zealanders call a solar or thermal cover. We say roller throughout the site.

  • It's sized to your pool width, not your length. The manual stainless roller suits pools to 5.5m wide. Wider than that is a commercial system.

  • Beside the pool, at one end. All our rollers are free-standing — nothing bolts down, and nothing is fixed to your paving.

  • Reels are long items and don't travel as a standard courier parcel. Freight is confirmed for your address before dispatch.

  • Yes, as long as the cover has cords and eyelets to attach to the tube. If it doesn't, add a cord and eyelet kit — it fits most brands.

  • Installation is available in Auckland at $230 incl GST, which includes measuring your pool on site. Everywhere else in New Zealand is supply only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pools wider than 5.5M

Schools, aquatic centres, motels and lap pools run past what a residential roller can handle. Our commercial range covers pools up to 50m — manual handwheel rollers, motorised and wall-mounted systems, and full 50m cover handling. Specified to your site, not priced online.
